- (instructions, part 2)
-
- This course is not a "teach you everything that is possible to teach"
- type system. Rather, it is designed with two purposes in mind:
- 1) To teach you what you NEED to know about the day-to-day operation
- of IBM-compatible business computers.
- 2) To present that information in an EASY-TO-UNDERSTAND format.
-
- Be realistic in your expectations. The amount you learn here depends
- largely on you and the time you allow for learning. If you take the
- necessary time (don't rush through), pay attention, ask the instructor
- questions (when possible), take notes, and review those notes, you will get
- a lot out of the course. But don't expect to be an overnight computer
- programmer; that would take much more study... and is probably something
- you would not want to do anyway.
- By far more people USE computers than PROGRAM them. Programming is a
- special field of endeavor that takes full-time attention. Computer USERS
- however, are people who take advantage of the computer system as a TOOL.
- This course does not have much to do with programming. It is designed for
- YOU, the computer USER.
